Bought privately out of the Thomas Mullins yard by Mary-Ann Middleton, RIGHTSOTOM has joined Team Tizzard (left) and Cheltenham is the aim.
RIGHTSOTOM ran a couple of crackers in Grade 1 Hurdles at Cheltenham and Aintree last season, finishing sixth in the Triumph Hurdle behind LOSSIEMOUTH, before heading to Aintree for the Juvenile Hurdle, going off @ 25/1 and finishing fourth to ZENDA, beaten less than 10 lengths.
He was then sent to Cork for a maiden hurdle, for which he went off the 1/3 favourite and won as he liked.
This season he will start with Festival form in the book, a new owner, looking to replace the good one she lost this year, OSCAR ELITE.
Mary-Ann Middleton enjoyed some great days with that one, notably when runner up in an Albert Bartlett, then third and fifth in successive Ultima Handicaps at the Cheltenham Festival.
Nailed on to win races this season before attempting to better those days.
Other horses to look out for from this yard in the 2023-2024 season are:
- DIAMOND RI
- WESTERN KNIGHT
- SIAM PARK
- AMERICAN LAND
- LORD OF THUNDER
- AMARILLO SKY
The last named will not been seen until the new year but will have the Champion Chase as his primary target.
